You are more than welcome to download the php/html5 source code for the release form and use it on your own server or pull it apart for a different project!
You will loose the following features if you run the stand-alone version:
- ability to store client database
- the newsletter system
- a configuration UI (everything is in the release/config/ directory)
- automatic updates and new features
